The University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) invites applicants for a non-tenure-track appointment in Management at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor. The start date for this position is August 2020 but may be extended to January of 2021 to facilitate the completion of doctoral or post-doctoral work.

Duties:

• Teach three undergraduate and graduate courses in Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, or Principles of Management, along with other courses according to their academic preparation or professional experience each semester (Fall and Spring) and mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
• Additionally, establish a productive research program involving students.
• Similarly, supervise internships and participate in university, college, and departmental committees.

Qualifications for Vacancy for Visiting Assistant Professor 

Required:

1. Ph.D. in Management from an AACSB accredited program.
2. Similarly, a strong research background related to Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, International Management, Leadership, or Strategic Management.
3. Additionally, the candidate must be willing to creatively collaborate across disciplines within the college.
