About position

The university is seeking capable and dynamic Visiting Professor of Biology with an intention to deploy him/her from Fall 2019. The incumbent will be accountable for teaching as well as conducting researches with higher level students.

In particular, the incumbent will do the following duties

• Teach 12 credit hours per semester, including but not limited to Microbiology, Genetics, Toxicology, Ecology, Cell and Molecular Biology, and Marine Biology.
• Serve on campus committees. Also, advice students in terms of different academic topics.
• Provide service to the Department and University which may include curriculum development, implementation, coordination, and assistance in the departmental assessment plan.
• Involve undergraduate students in research. Also, laboratory preparation and interaction with Laboratory Technician.
• In addition to that, other duties assigned by the Chair and the Office of Academic Affairs.

Minimum qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biology or related field. In addition to that, experience in the area of biology undergraduate teaching.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate science courses.
• Ability to develop a research program involving undergraduate students.
