The WFP (World Food Programme) is the chamber organization of the UN (United Nations) that works as the food assistance branch. The United Nations World Food Program is a humanitarian agency that works to alleviate hunger and starvation from the world. The main aim of the WFP is to ensure that no-one dies because of hunger and everyone gets the proper food and nutrition for healthy living.

About Position

The position is for the WFP office of Peshawar in Pakistan. The new recruitment Business Support Assistant will be contributing to the operations and goal of the WFP. He/She needs to work under the Head of Provincial Office and Senior Officer of the area.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Telephone operating and front desk handling
• Taking, managing, and fixing appointments and meetings
• Bookkeeping and filing
• Responsible for bids box
• Documentation and mail handling
• Preparing monthly issuance/balance report
• Other tasks and duties if required

Qualifications and requirements

• Completion of High School or 12 years of education
• 3 years of experience in a similar position. experience in UN  registered organization or INGO is preferred
•  Basic computer skills with good typing speed.
• Good Command on MS Office, Telephone Exchange.
• Experience in using office equipment such as Photocopiers, Scanners, Facsimile, etc.
• Ability to use tact and courtesy to give and receive information with a variety of individuals.
• Attention to detail to identify data discrepancies.
• Ability to work to deadlines and follow clear instructions
