Central America Campaigner position is available in Amnesty International’s Regional Office. The Campaigner for Central America program acts as catalyst to mobilize Amnesty International’s worldwide membership in support to human rights campaigns in this region.

About the Position

The Campaigner will contribute to deliver powerful global, regional and national campaigns that inspires people. The Central America Campaigner will work in close collaboration with researchers and other programme teams to launch campaigns for action. S/he will work by developing innovative campaign tactics and techniques, as well as identifying and fostering opportunities for partnership and collaboration.

Salary and Benefits

You will get a salary of $52,259 per annum. Qualifications and Requirements

  • With experience of working on human rights issues, you must have first-hand in-depth knowledge and experience of the socio-political and economic context in Central America, and global human rights trends.
  • Also, substantial experience of strategic human rights campaigning, including knowledge to devise campaigns.
  • You must also have experience and an understanding of membership organizations
  • In addition, the capability both to work on your own initiative and as a member of a large and diverse team, often under pressure.
  • Also, you have strong knowledge of and experience working to address human rights issues in Central America
  • You have a strong network and rich experience of undertaking this kind of sensitive work in the field.
  • A natural collaborator, you need influential communication skills, impartial political judgement, coupled with strong strategic thought.
  • You have excellent written and verbal Spanish and English.
