Qualifications for Communication Specialist Vacancy at UNICEF in Myanmar
- An advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: social and behavioral science, sociology, anthropology, psychology, education, communication, public relations or another relevant technical field.
- Additionally, a minimum of eight years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required: social development program planning, communication for development, public advocacy or another related area.
- Also, relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is an asset.
- At least one instance of exposure to emergency programming, including preparedness planning.
- Furthermore, active involvement in a humanitarian crisis response program.
- Experience working in a developing country is an asset.
- Likewise, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
- Moreover, the candidate should meet UNICEF’s core values and competency areas.
