Become a Director Resource Mobilisation in an NGO; World Vision.
World Vision is a Christian humanitarian, development and advocacy organisation devoted to improving the lives of children, families and their communities around the world. It works in nearly 100 countries are united in helping the most vulnerable children.
Position location to be determined by home country of successful candidate in a jurisdiction (US state or country) where WVI is registered to operate.
provide leadership within the organisation on UN multi-lateral funding as well as all donor engagement for humanitarian response.
oversee and lead in the strengthening of resource mobilisation and grants management by providing leadership and support for prepositioning, designing as well as managing humanitarian response work.
Also, manage a team of Senior Technical Advisors and Technical Directors to support Field Offices
liaise with Support Offices and closely coordinate with sector teams and Grant Acquisition and Management leadership and staff
ensuring reduction of complexity throughout the process to ensure responsiveness and competitiveness.
moreover, support the positioning of World Vision as a partner of choice for multilateral donors and contributes to advocacy work on quality funding in humanitarian response.
Masters’ degree in International Development, Social Sciences, or a related field or equivalent experience required.
A minimum of 10 years working experience in a high-level management position in program development, donor relations or related field.
Track record of strong and positive relationships with significant Humanitarian assistance stakeholders
Minimum of 10 years work experience in senior management leading to a high degree of expertise and knowledge of effective resource mobilisation as well as acquisition.
A deep and broad understanding of business operations within World Vision or a similar organisation
Direct experience in working knowledge of food assistance legislation as well as regulations of major donors
Travel internationally and domestically up to 30% of the time.
In addition, knowledge of an additional international language (French, Spanish and/or Portuguese) is a plus.
