What will you do to contribute?

As a Design Manager, you will deliver the product design strategy for our highly successful Star by Julien Macdonald department. You will also design balanced and innovative ranges, with the strategic product and brand vision at the center of the product development. However, the main target is to achieve and exceed sales targets for your area, across all channels including international and Digital.

Other than that, you will be performing the following functions

• Feed into and support the Trading Unit and Sourcing with design intelligence.
• Manage team to deliver product development in line with the critical path.
• Ensure standard design brief Is completed on time and in full.
• Similarly, ensure the product range meets agreed design aesthetic & brand values.
• Create seasonal color and trend presentations driving innovation and originality true to the brand DNA.
• Also, create clear & concise proposals, to present at sign off stage to the Director of Buying.
• Ensure technical specification standards are met through clear and concise communication of the design intent.
• Accountable for consistent review and reaction to changing market and trends.
• Consistent collaboration with buying through range building to deliver the product design vision and strategy for the brand and customer.
• Support with conducting end of season analysis to remain commercial and to make recommendations for future seasons.

What skills you will bring with you?

In addition to your design expertise, you will bring creativity and innovation to identify new season fabrics, trims, and techniques. You will also bring textiles knowledge, creative design, and commercial acumen in the organization. You will be collaborating with customer insight, Style LABS, sourcing, suppliers, designers, buying and product development. So, you will bring strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills as well.

Other than that, you will manage and lead with integrity and provide leadership to colleagues where relevant, driving consistent behaviors and ways of working.
