The Developer Relations organization helps keep us connected to the communities and industry influencers that love technology as much as Google does. The focus is on supporting third party developers who build applications and businesses on Google’s platforms. Strategic Partner Advocates act as passionate advocates for Google technologies and are vocal champions for developer interests within Google.

As a Partner Developer Advocate, you’ll provide the engineering consultation and guidance to game partner companies using Google’s technologies and bring back their feedback to improve them. You’ll also communicate internally with Product Managers. Play, Android, Cloud, Chrome, are just some of the platforms you promote and support. Your work will foster a community of game developers working with Google technologies and helps to drive strategy around Developer Relations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with game developers to support exciting new integrations with Google’s latest products.
  • Work with game developers and provide high-level engineering direction and guidance to solve their challenges based on the industry experience and broad understanding of Google technologies.
  • Take regular, engineering-focused meetings with developers to help improve gaming experience and solve complex challenges at a scale of millions of users.
  • Advocate for game developers internally, and influence Google developer product strategy by working with Product Management, Engineering, PR, Marketing, Business Development, and other cross-functional teams.

Minimum qualifications

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in game development with two or more shipped game titles.
  • Experience in developing or integrating new developer products on games.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in working on game engines.
  • Experience in working with external partners.
