Liverpool Football Club announces vacancy for hard-working, highly qualified, energetic and dynamic Physiotherapists to work with LFC Women Team. This is the ideal opportunity for medical professionals to be part of one best team in the world which is also the most successful professional football team in the United Kingdom. This is a permanent full-time role working 35 hours per week on a 5 from 7 days working pattern including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities 

  • Ensuring the health of all players.
  • Provision of pitchside emergency first aid and physiotherapy care to players.
  • Participating in the delivery of treatment and rehabilitation for injured players.
  • Follow and support the guidelines and procedures within the club`s Safeguarding Policy.
  • Providing medical care on all aspects of players’ health to include. Similarly, prescribing medication, obtaining specialist opinions where appropriate, coordinating investigations and operative procedures, as required.
  • Doing diagnose and establish treatment/ rehabilitation plans for nominated players.
  • Implementing preventative strategies including vaccinations.
  • Liaising with football management staff in order to optimize player performance and overall health.
  • Carrying out and oversee all investigations as required. Also, collaborating with specialists to ensure that appropriate treatment decisions if requested.
  • Maintaining contemporaneous medical notes to an excellent standard on the WPS (Women`s Performance System).
  • Furthermore, ensuring high levels of professionalism and patient confidentiality.

Requirements 

  • Chartered HCPC registered Physiotherapist as well as Masters level in the related field.
    FA Level 2 Emergency First Aid as well as the FA Level 5 Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football (ATMMiF)
  • Previous experience working in a multi-disciplinary medical team within the Women’s Super League.
  • Similarly, previous experience of working in an elite sports environment.
  • Experience of following FA or equivalent codes of conduct and regulation as well as experience in athlete rehabilitation, development, and long-term assessments.
  • Similarly, the experience of reporting and self-management.
  • Knowledge of the pressures and commitments required for players and can be empathetic and understand support strategies for the player’s emotional needs.
  • Furthermore, candidates must be flexible with time and willing to travel (including international).
