Duties
The incumbent will do the following duties
- Coordinate, monitor and control the operations, activities, and products related to the implementation of the work plan
- Organization, planning and direction of the daily operations of the project in coordination with Project Management.
- Identify and manage the risks inherent in project management.
- Manage the production of the necessary products, taking responsibility for overall progress and use of resources and initiating corrective actions when necessary. All this by carrying out the necessary quality review to ensure product acceptance and proper execution of the work plan.
- Also, coordinate and monitor project operations and products
- Manage communications ensuring information to the different actors on the activities, progress, and delivery of products
- Furthermore, manage and maintain a fluid, flexible and adequate communication with project partners/counterparts
- Likewise, he/she will inform Project Management about issues that may affect the achievement of its results, with special attention to issues related to their social, economic, institutional and environmental sustainability.
Qualifications
The candidate should meet the given criteria for the Project Manager Vacancy at UNOPS in Paraguay
- A University degree in Economics or Business Administration is required.
- It is of value to provide courses, studies or specialization in the fields of Business Administration, Public-Private Alliances and / or project management.
- Additionally, a minimum of 4 years of experience in the technical coordination of projects.
- Also, it is a plus to contribute experience in complex infrastructure projects such as waterways, airports, ports, among others.
- Spanish language proficiency
- Also, English language knowledge is a desirable requirement
