Position: Quality Control Surveyor Associate at WFP (World Food Programme)

Roles and responsibilities

In general, the incumbent will perform the following things under the supervision of the head of Program

• verify the storage, ordering, planned distributions and utilization of construction materials, fuel, machinery resolving related Q&Q issues and escalating where appropriate, to ensure that the quantities distributed, and the quality of the operation is in line with appropriate standards.
• Prepare field mission reports to document related issues and actions. 
• Collect and summarise data, collaborating with project partners where required. Similarly, conduct analysis and prepare reports in order to support operational reviews, implement improvements and inform decision-making.
• Suggest improvements to field monitoring processes and procedures for effective communication flow and efficient operations in addressing Q&Q control issues.
• Provide standard training on operational practices in order to support the implementation of proper standards of staff development.
• Analyze field operations, distribution data, related meetings, and assessment reports. 
• Similarly, perform assessments within the area of responsibility to support safe and effective project delivery. 
• Review operational threats and risks in detail and compile accurate reports on Q&Q issues that could adversely impact project implementation, ensure information is accurately collated and sent to senior security staff to support reporting and decision making.
• Maintain and develop recommendations for improving emergency and contingency planning documentation as well as physical preparations and procedures, to support preparedness for a crisis.
• Above all, any other related task as required

Required skills and qualifications

• BSc/ Master’s in civil engineering/Construction/other related field or relevant job experience and qualification.
• In addition to that, minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar field.
• Additionally, computer literate in all Microsoft applications

Furthermore,

• Fluency in oral Chittagonian/Rohingya dialect
• Strong communication (verbal as well as written) skills in English and Bengali.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Contract Type: Service Contract, SC6

Contract Duration: 12 months

Duty Station: Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh

Nationality: Bangladeshi only

Monthly Salary: BDT. 103,091
