Inkitt calls application for full-time Lead Script Writer at the head office in Berlin. The Senior Content Writer will have to guide a team of writers producing weekly episode releases. The position writer will also combine his/her creative storytelling talents with leadership experience. The ideal appointee must have experience creating storyboards, adapting the story, keeping up with fast-paced deadlines, and working in a serial format.

Responsibilities 

The Lead Script Writer at Inkitt will do jobs like writing, editing, rewriting, supervising, etc. In particular, the position will have to perform the following tasks

  • Writing, strategizing, and overseeing stories from conception through to final execution; editing, rewriting and providing constructive feedback on the output of a team of writers.
  • Contributing to the growth of the writers, guiding them to reach high-performance standards that allow them to become Lead Writers themselves.
  • Communicating as well as collaborating with bestselling fiction authors.
  • Also, working closely with sound designers and FX specialists to make our reading experience 100% immersive.
  • Adapting successful stories from Inkitt into the Galatea format, maximizing their commercial potential.
  • Furthermore, pushing the boundaries of storytelling.

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Screenwriting, Creative Writing, English, or a related field of study.
  • Knowledge & passion for serialized TV and book series as well as at least 3 years of experience writing for TV, film, video games, or a related field.
  • Leadership and/or management experience
  • Write/speak Native-level English and be able to create, manage, and help track schedules for a team of at least four writers.
  • Oriented towards cutting-edge technology and want to be ahead of the industry curve
  • Hands-on attitude, fast-paced, reliable, and positive.
  • Creative and business mindset as well as fantastic organizational and communication skills.
  • Thrive in an open-floor brainstorm as well as in the execution of a laid-out plan
  • Keen sense of empathy for the entertainment audience and can cater your empathy depending on the demographics of that audience.
  • Experience of working in a writer’s room and/or collaborated with other writers.
  • Furthermore, candidates must be able to consistently improve the output of a team of writers through editing, rewriting, and constructive feedback.
