Senior Employee Relations Specialist position is available in the Human Resources department of EBRD – European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Employee Relations is a critical component of the organization. The incumbent will fulfill the responsibilities remaining within this unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver immediate, consistent and tailored specialist advice and day-to-day support to the business/stakeholders on dispute resolution and performance management.
  • Also, explain options and risk assessments ensuring that business is aware of potential ways to manage and aim to resolve
  • Moreover, advise on matters of internal policy and best practice to ensure thorough application of/adherence to applicable internal regulations with regards to disciplinary, grievance, redundancy situations and performance management.
  • Furthermore, to work with HR Business Partners and line managers to ensure they drive the process
  • Identify and resolve potential and existing disputes or conflict situations, working with HR Business partnering  teams, line managers and employees.
  • In addition, lead on policy and procedure reviews undertaken by ER team in the framework of the People Plan.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proficiency in HR discipline with well-rounded HR generalist knowledge and expertise
  • Track record as an in-house ER specialist/expert, for instane, managing disciplinary and grievance issues from start to conclusion, managing caseloads, providing advice and guidance to the business
  • Excellent working knowledge, strong understanding of and compliance with the internal dispute resolution process
  • Also, very good understanding/awareness of the business, the wider people agenda and good understanding of internal policies.
  • Credibility to be able to build, influence and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within complex, multicultural and diverse business environment.
  • Likewise, ability to consider each scenario from all perspectives
  • Strong positive team ethic, can-do attitude, excellent relationship building, coaching and consulting skills, with the ability and confidence to liaise with stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, tact, cultural awareness and fairness
  • Strong problem solver, with the ability to anticipate issues before they happen, to make decisions quickly and to recommend innovative solutions.
  • High standard of written documentation, and previous experience of producing professional and robust documents, memoranda and notes to be used in formal meetings; excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in another language relevant to the Bank (eg, French, Arabic, Russian) would be beneficial.
