Staff Accountant position is available at Pact.

The staff accountant is responsible for reconciling GL accounts monthly, reviewing overhead expenses monthly and providing timely support to the queries from the other departments or field offices. This position supports  the entire Accounting department in order to ensure good accounting practices of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer Ex-Patriate/Third Country National Payroll for an international non-profit organization on a monthly basis.
  • Act as back-up for Domestic Payroll.
  • Monitoring bank accounts balances and preparing cash position.
  • Booking deposits to the accounting system.
  • Monitor incoming funds (electronic fund receipts) through bank accounts on a daily basis, making certain remote check deposits are received and preparing related Invoices and booking the deposits to the accounting system.
  • Providing support during Internal and External Audits.
  • Set up wire transfers for review and transmission, both domestic and international.
  • Primary contact for all wire transfer inquiries.
  • Review and analyze Accounts Receivable balance sheet and subsidiary ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Create Accounts Receivable Aging Report.
  • Reconciling all HQ bank accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Reconciling all Investment accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Participate in Cash Flow forecasting.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • BA and at least 1 -3 years of relevant experience (or equivalent)
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • High degree of professionalism and ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets (Excel) and database skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with accounting software(s) – Microsoft Dynamic NAV a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • A team player.
  • Provide good customer service.

Preferred

  • Basic knowledge of USAID and other donor (multilateral and bilateral) financial requirements
  • Familiarity with A122 regulations
