The Division of Communication (DOC) aims to win support for the cause of children from decision-makers and the wider public and is working to become even stronger advocacy, campaigning and communications force for children.
The Digital Strategy Section (DSS) in DOC comprises Web Editorial, Social Media News and Campaigns, and Digital Governance and Platforms teams working together to create compelling public-facing content and to provide digital services within the organization.
DSS seeks to hire a Communication Officer(Digital Content Producer (Spanish)).
The staff member is responsible for the daily production of unicef.org/Spanish and management of Spanish social media, production of special projects such as microsites, campaigns, etc.
Duties
The incumbent should do the following duties
Provide guidance, production, and finalization across social media platforms on a necessary basis, from daily to weekly to monthly planning: Facebook posts, Twitter campaigns, and related posts and stories.
Also, he/she works with the marketing team to strategize and deliver on content and placement of advertisements and marketing videos across social and web channels
Additionally, generate content for UNICEF Spanish social media platforms, in collaboration with other social media coordinators and community manage
Moreover, make ongoing production updates to unicef.org/ Spanish, including page production, formatting text, placing video, optimizing images for the Web, rendering artwork containing text in Spanish
Also, further translation, subtitle, and synopsis editing and placement of videos for distribution via UNICEF.org, YouTube, news media and other outlets and platforms
Similarly, post press releases in Spanish
Furthermore, respond to inquiries made through unicef.org/Spanish
Qualifications
For the Vacancy for Communication Officer in the USA, the incumbent must meet the following requirements
Education: A first-level university degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field.
Experience: Also, two years of practical professional work experience in communication, print and broadcast media, or interactive digital media.
Additionally, International and national work experience (for IP).
Also, Background/familiarity with Emergency situations.
Language Requirements: Furthermore, the candidate needs fluency in English and Spanish.
