Vacancy for Country Lead, Program Communications, in Canada

The position is at the MasterCard Foundation Toronto. The candidate will work as an integral part of the Canada programs team and report to the Head, Canada programs. Additionally, he/she will be part of a cross-functional Program Communications team and work in collaboration to ensure cohesion and sharing of perspectives across the Foundation. Also, close collaboration with our partners’ communications points persons to ensure support and alignment in all related communications, agency and brand management will be an important aspect of the role.

Duties

  • Develop Canada communications portfolio and ensure effective implementation in support of program objectives.
  • Additionally, h/she will contribute to reputation and brand positioning for the portfolio. Work closely with the Canada program and Head of Program Communications to frame findings and insights into the information that is consumed by decision-makers.
  • Moreover, the candidate will cultivate relationships with top journalists, bloggers, and other media influential in Canada. Work with Indigenous youth to help elevate their voices and views.
  • Moreover, he/she will craft messages and program communications strategies that are thoughtful and positioned to reach priority audiences including governments, the private sector, other funders, and youth.
  • Improve the quality of communications through the development of new skills and tools and enable the adoption of innovative communications methods with the goal of improving execution.
  • Also, Develop and manage the Canada program communications portfolio budget.
  • Likewise, Align with a culture of high performance, willingness to learn, perpetual curiosity, and results in orientation.

Qualifications

  • A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal, analytical, presentation and editorial digital skills
  • Also, he/she should have outstanding social and intercultural skills and a proven ability to multitask and work to deadlines.
