Selection Criteria

The candidates must meet the following criteria for the Vacancy for Environmental Economist in Ethiopia:

• The organization requires rigorous quantitative training in economics, econometrics or quantitative economic modeling.
• Also, candidates with microeconomics training focus on environmental management problems can apply.
• Additionally, the organization encourages the candidates with macroeconomics and fiscal management training focused on environment and natural resources policy.
• Likewise, minimum of 5 years of full-time relevant professional experience post Masters Degree on research or applied work as an economist on environmental issues.
• Moreover, the organization requires excellent English communication skill.
• Furthermore, proven teamwork and successful experience working with multi-disciplinary teams.
• A strong sense of teamwork and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Also, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including to remote rural areas.
