There is an announcement for the Vacancy for Innovation Officer in the USA at Pact. Interested candidates can apply for the position now. Pact’s 4-person Innovation team provides services, training, and technical assistance to HQ staff plus 30 country offices. The Innovation Officer will provide targeted support in the form of driving innovative new business development to include new partnerships and new business models in issue areas such as health, workforce development, youth, women’s empowerment, resource management, etc.
Responsibilities
The incumbent will do the following duties
- Navigate and execute a range of corporate engagement and new business roles and responsibilities, including but not limited to, strategic prepositioning, proposal management, technical research, and writing, thought leadership, and pricing.
- Also, provide targeted technical assistance in the form of human-centered design, innovation theory and process, guidance on experimentation, prototype and social enterprise development
- Conduct training, workshops and facilitate large groups with a demonstrable ability to communicate and bring people together through storytelling
- Furthermore, Provide relevant market research and early-stage business modeling for various concepts in the Innovation portfolio
- Also, Provide support to various human-centered design exercises
- Similarly, support monitoring and evaluation efforts for the Innovation portfolio
- Furthermore, he/she will demonstrate engagement, creativity, and a drive to solve issues at a corporate level to create future and lasting efficiencies and quality improvements.
Qualifications
The incumbent must meet the following requirements for Vacancy for Innovation Officer in the USA at Pact
- Bachelor’s degree with 7 – 9 years of experience or Masters with 5 – 7 years of experience in a field related to Pact’s mission, such as in international development, international relations, regional studies, economics, business, environmental studies, or public health, Masters preferred
- Additionally, at least seven years of work experience in international development, innovation, or a related field
- Also, Outstanding writing and analytical skills
- Outstanding group facilitation skills
- Similarly, Strong public speaking and presentation skills
- Working knowledge of Human-Centered Design, qualitative and/or quantitative field research, data analysis and agile methods
- A flexible, entrepreneurial mindset and passion for lean experimentation methods
- Also, knowledge of the social innovation landscape and leading methods
- Previous experience with USAID and grant-making
- Similarly, Strong interpersonal and social skills
- Furthermore, Pro-active, independent, go-getter attitude.
- Fluency in English
- Fluency with Excel and other Microsoft tools
- Likewise, Previous experience in a developing country
- Additionally, the ability to work in remote teams.
