Job Summary
The Medical Doctor will be responsible for frontline health response and implementation of fever corner (Fever Management Unit) with primary health care services in identified IDP camps through the Mobile Team of IRC’s Humanitarian Health Response Program. Additionally, the Medical Doctor needs to build the capacity of Mobile Team Members and participate in surveillance of communicable diseases in coordination with Basic Health Staffs of MOHS, respective local authorities, and CSO/CBO for strengthening of immunization and communicable diseases prevention and controlling in IDP camps area and conflicted affected communities.
Duties
- Prepare monthly work-plan of a mobile team to cover targeted IDP camps regularly
- Establishes clinical care and fever management of general population, women and under 5 children according to MOHS and IRC protocols
- Additionally, manage the organizing of referral of COVID-19 suspected cases to Local District/ Township Hospital and other available secondary and tertiary referral health facilities in the area and able to provide medical treatment of SARI if needed.
- Also, the incumbent should be able to escort the patient to hospital or government health facility if required.
- Additionally, provide MHPSS counseling, IYCF counseling.
- Likewise, coordinate with the respective township health department, local authorities, and CSO/ CBO regarding fever surveillance related to a current disease outbreak.
- Furthermore, give technical support to mobile clinic nurses, clinic health care workers, and cleaners regarding infection prevention and control and waste management measures in collaboration with the clinic team supervisor.
Qualifications
- Registered medical doctor (M.B., B.S.) with minimum one-year experience on primary health care settings and clinic management
- Furthermore, favorable to a person with experience in the medical response to the disaster area, surveillance, and control of communicable diseases in disaster area
- Also, able to work under the high-risk condition and able to undergo quarantine as required
- Additionally, the candidate should be able to work with wearing full PPE the whole day
- Sensitivity leadership skill and team management skill
- Also, adaptable, flexible and mature in judgment
- Furthermore, good assessment, analytical, planning and reporting skills
