Duties

The incumbent will have the following duties

  • Proactively support the responsible officer in the efficient functioning of the UN Theme Group (UNTG) or UN Joint Team on HIV, including the development and implementation of the UN Joint Programme of Support while ensuring effective coordination and communication within the UN
  • Additionally, facilitate and promote collaboration, consultation and programming mechanisms among cosponsors and UN agencies.
  • Likewise, he/she will contribute to the analysis, collation and dissemination of information on the country’s HIV situation.
  • Furthermore, identifying problems and weaknesses in implementation at an early stage.
  • Also, recommending remedial action, particularly as related to planning and administration of human and financial resources.
  • Likewise, he/she will perform other related responsibilities as assigned, including replacing and/or backstopping for others.

Qualifications

Education

  • The candidate should have an advanced university degree in economics, development, social science, public health, planning, or business/public administration.
  • For internal candidates only, a first university degree and 7 years of relevant work experience will be considered as equivalent.

Experience
