NDI seeks a part-time (10-15 hours per week) consultant to conduct analysis on Hong Kong’s political process and governance challenges. The consultant should serve as the principal point of contact with various stakeholders and topical area experts.
Furthermore, the incumbent will track and assess relevant electoral and political developments in Hong Kong; submit written weekly updates of key findings and analysis; and other duties as assigned. The position is contingent upon donor funding approval with an expected start date is September 2020 and initially lasting four months.
Candidates should have substantive experience conducting political and electoral analysis on Hong Kong and mainland China. That includes knowledge of current events, political processes, and governance institutions.
Additionally, a successful candidate will have superior oral and written communication skills. Also, he/she should present research findings in a clear and informative manner. Likewise, the candidate must be able to read and write Chinese (traditional Also, he/she should speak Cantonese at native or near-native fluency.
