The University of Technology (UTS) awards Dianne Leckie Memorial Scholarships annually to international students pursuing undergraduate in Business studies at UTS. UTS Business International Scholarship is in honor of Dianne Leckie. She served on the Board of UTS Insearch from 2007 to 2011. Also, she served on the UTS Council from 2002 to 2011 and was granted a UTS Honorary Doctorate in 2011. She believed strongly in the opportunities that higher education can provide and her legacy lives on through this scholarship.

Moreover, UTS Business Scholarship also benefits international students as it eases them of their financial burdens. Further, the scholarship will enable students to focus primarily on their studies and enhance their knowledge in International Business Model of the 21st century.
Incoming international students in UTS undertaking undergraduate in Business will receive this scholarship award. Moreover, academic merit and personal qualities will determine the winner of the scholarship. The top 10 international students with the highest Grade Point Average for the year who graduate from the Diploma of Business in any semester (one, two or three) are invited to apply for the scholarship at UTS.
The scholarship covers tuition fees for two years’ study in the UTS Bachelor of Business program. In addition, it also covers overseas health insurance and student amenities fees. The total value is more than A$50,000.
This is an invitation-only scholarship. UTS will invite successful business students to apply in April of each year.
First, there will be selection and shortlisting of candidates. Then, an interview panel will select the winning recipient. The Interview panel will compose of UTS Insearch and UTS Education Management and Teaching Staff. The winner will have to fulfill a number of criteria including career aspirations, the intended use of the UTS business degree and demonstrated knowledge of the discipline.
