18th Japan International MANGA Award 2024 | Fully Funded Trip to Japan
The 2024 Japan International MANGA Award offers a fully funded journey to Japan for artists passionate about MANGA and comic art. Launched in 2007 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this award aims to foster global understanding and exchange through the rich medium of MANGA culture. It celebrates artists who have played a pivotal role in advancing MANGA globally, showcasing the power of art as a universal language conveying diverse messages through drawings, sketches, and paintings.
Winners of the Gold and Silver Awards in this international art competition will be invited to Japan by The Japan Foundation for a 7-day trip to attend the award ceremony in Tokyo. Tokyo’s unique architecture blends modern and traditional wooden buildings. Participants will also visit publishing houses, meet Japanese cartoonists, and engage with various organizations. Eligibility Criteria for Japan MANGA Award Program 2024:
The work entries submitted for the award must be more than 16 pages in total.
- You can submit both your published and unpublished pieces of art.
- You cannot submit the work that has already been selected for any award previously.
- Your work must be created within the last three years, not older than this.
- The work submitted should not damage any third party’s intellectual property rights.
- The work should originally be created by the applicants and not anyone else.
- The entries sent by completely using AI or any other such tool will not be accepted
- If AI is used, mention it in the form to which extent it has been used.
- The work submitted should be in printed form or PDF form.
- You can send only one entry not more than this.
- The applicants should not be a nationals of Japan.
