Submissions are open for the 2022 Pinch Literary Awards and Prize until March 31st, 2022! Also, the 2022 Page Prize accepts non-fiction.

The competition is organized by The Pinch, a literary journal published at the University of Memphis.

Benefits

• 1st place contest winners in poetry and fiction will each receive a prize of $2000.
• Also, the 1st place winner of the Page Prize will receive $1000.
• Second and third place winners will get high-priority consideration for publication. However, because of space, the publication cannot be guaranteed.

Submission Fee

The submission fee is $20 for the Pinch Literary Awards and $10 for the Page Prize.

Eligibility

The competition is open to everyone except students and faculty at the University of Memphis, United States.

Guidelines:

• The competition will only be accepting original works.
• Fiction submitted should have a maximum word count of 5000 words.
• Poetry submissions should have a maximum of three poems.
• Nonfiction submissions should have a maximum of 1000 words.
• The competition does not accept submissions via email.
• There is no limit to the number of submissions a person can make.
• Moreover, only unpublished work will be eligible.
