The British Council invites young digital creatives to take part in the third edition of ColabNowNow. Further, the British Council organizes ColabNowNow 2019 in partnership with Maputo Fast Forward and Fak’ugesi African Digital Innovation Festivals. ColabNowNow has been developed as a space for the leading minds in digital art in Africa and the UK to connect, collaborate and learn from each other in a safe, supportive and enabling environment
ColabNowNow will select 11 digital artists from Africa and the UK to develop cutting edge digital artworks through collaborative artmaking and storytelling. Applicants will apply with proposed projects which they will then develop with artistic and technical facilitators. Maputo Fast Forward festival will look forward to exhibiting their collaborative creation on October 11, 2019.
Creatives will receive artistic and technical support from two facilitators, who will work with the creatives to develop complex collaborative works in both their conceptual and technical forms. Besides, the British Council will also cover costs for the participants including:
To be eligible for the ColabNowNow, you must be a daring artist or storyteller working in a digital medium and living in Africa or the UK. Further, you must meet the following requirements as:
Applicants may apply for the ColabNowNow 2019 by completing and submitting the online application.
The British Council will accept the application for the ColabNowNow until 24 July 2019.
