Sock It to Me brings Design a Sock Challenge 2019. It is your chance to design what you want on your socks, and maybe win the opportunity to see it produced. Design a Sock Challenge is an opportunity for creative individuals to participate in an international platform and win a recognization. Further, the winner will also win a cash prize.

Winners of the Design A Sock Challenge

After the public polling, the judges at Sock It to Me will decide on three winners of the Design a Sock Challenge. The winners of the challenge will receive

• 1st Place: Cash prize of $2,000, and 15 pairs of awesome Sock It to Me socks from our current line, and your design will be manufactured on real socks.
• 2nd Place: Cash prize of $1,000 and 10 pairs of socks, and your design may be manufactured on real socks
• 3rd Place: Cash prize of $500 and 5 pairs of socks, and your design may be manufactured on real socks

Eligibility for the Design A Sock Challenge

Design a Sock contest is international and open to all ages. However, residents of the following countries are not eligible to enter or win: Bosnia & Herzegovina, Burundi; Central African Republic, Croatia, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iran, Iraq, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya; Mali, Montenegro, Nicaragua, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia, Somalia, Sudan/Darfur, South Sudan, Syria; Ukraine/Russia, Venezuela, Yemen, and Zimbabwe, and the contest is void where prohibited by law.

Also, if the participants under 13 years of age, a parent, teacher, or legal guardian must submit the entry.

Judging Criteria

Sock It to Me judges, including celebrity judges and in-house team of experts, will select the top 30 designs from all eligible entries. After that, the 30 chosen designs will be featured on the website for online voting from 10/7/19 – 10/13/19  on the top 10 designs. Finally, Sock It to Me judges will select the final 3 winners from the top 10 and announce it on the website.

All judging will be based on the following guidelines:

1. Simplicity of design
2. Use of a maximum of six colors
3. Colors that are flat and solids only. NO shading, blending or halftones
4. Use of pattern
5. Imagery, themes, patterns, or designs that are different from our current line
6. Originality

How to enter the Design A Sock Challenge?

To enter the Design a Sock Challenge, candidates can submit their design online by downloading the entry form and start designing on the template for knee/crew sock provided. Further, provide your design title, name, telephone number, and email address (for entrants under 13, your parent/legal guardian’s telephone number and email address). Finally,  upload the completed entry form and click submit. Entrants also must complete all data requested on the online entry form.

In the alternative, you may enter the Contest by emailing your design entry or delivering it by hand (using the same entry template for socks) along with your name, address, telephone number and email address (if you have one) to: Sock It to Me “International Design a Sock Contest,” 9592 SE Main St, Milwaukie, OR 97222. However, there is a submission limit of five (5) entries per person.

Deadline

The deadline to submit your sock designs is until 30 September 2019. Submissions after the deadline are invalid.
