CREST has partnered with social media community Steller.co to launch a Positive Impact Trip storytelling contest. Positive impact trips help protect the environment, provide benefits to local communities, and honor local cultures.

Applicants can enter as many discrete stories as they wish. There is no cost. Must be 21 years or older to be eligible to win Prize.

To submit Steller story, do the following:

1.  Hashtag #CRESTContest anywhere within your story.
2. Publish your story.
3. Entries will be accepted between November 8, 2018 and February 28, 2019.

Judging will be done by a panel of responsible travel specialists at and selected by the Center for Responsible Travel (CREST), and will value story content and inspiration, and accumulated story likes.
The winner will be announced on or about March 11, 2019 by CREST and will be notified via email.

Prize Details: Weeklong “Bodhi Sessions – Adult Surf + Yoga Camp” experience at Bodhi Surf + Yoga in Uvita, Costa Rica. Airfare included. Plus (2) $1,000 adidas gift cards to load up on adidas gear and (2) duffle bags of Clif Bar products for this positive impact trip. The prize should be redeemable for one calendar year after winner has been informed. Blackout dates include June, July, August, September, and October of 2019; December 21, 2019 – January 11, 2020; and June, July, August, September, and October of 2020. Details below:

1. One night in a San José hotel.
2. Round trip ground transportation between San José and Bodhi Surf + Yoga.
3. Six nights at Bodhi Surf + Yoga in Room Armonia or Room Amistad. Five breakfasts and three dinners are included, along with five surf lessons, five yoga classes, national park fees, and yoga mat and prop use. Additional meals, activities, and incidentals are not included.
4. Round trip coach airfare for two to San José, Costa Rica from major U.S. cities.
5. Two $1,000 adidas gift cards.
6. Two duffle bags of Clif Bar products.

Eligibility 

The Positive Impact Trip Contest (the “Contest”) is open to any contestants who are at least twenty-one (21) years old at the time of entry. Employees of CREST, Steller.co, and other companies associated with the promotion of the Contest, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising and promotion agencies as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible. The Contest is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Contest Period 

The Contest begins on November 8, 2018 at 12am PST and ends on February 28, 2019 at 11:59 PST (the “Contest Period”). Entries that are submitted before or after the Contest Period will be disqualified. Submissions will be accepted online for the duration of the Contest.

How to Enter 

Online: This method of entry will be available by visiting steller.co/CREST_Travel and following the directions provided to participate and submit. While contestants can enter as many stories as they wish, they may only enter each story one time. Multiple entries of the same story may result in disqualification of all entries.
