Hamdan International Photography Award 2019/20 opens the gateway to the visual competitiveness of all lens creators around the world, by launching the ninth season of the award under the title “water”, which intersected with the history of mankind since its early ages on the planet. “Water” is the synonym of life and its fresh artery, sharing our lives from the first minute as one of the components of the body, extending the number of days we live a basic partner of multiple necessities and uses.

Hamdan International Photography Award

Hamdan International Photography Award is open in five categories. A panel of jury will decide the up to five winners in each category. Moreover, the jury will decide the grand prize winner for the international photography competition and reward them a cash amount of $120,000.

Axis of Water

• First Prize: $20,000

The Focus of the Illustrated File (A Story to tell)

• 1st Prize: $24,000
• 2nd Prize: $21,000
• 3rd Prize: $19,000

General Axis (B/W and Colored)

• 1st Prize: $20,000
• 2nd Prize: $15,000
• 3rd Prize: $10,000

Participating in the Hamdan International Photography Competition

The Hamdan International Photography Award invites participation from photographers from all over the world. Moreover, photographers over the age of 18 are eligible to participate. However, the photographers who haven’t reached the legal age are ineligible to participate.

How to participate in the Hamdan International Photography Award?

To participate in the Hamdan international photography competition, the candidates will require to submit their photographs online. To do so, the candidates should register for an account at the official Hamdan Photography Award web portal and make their submission.

Candidates may compete in all the axes, however, they may submit one photograph in one axis only, except in the category that requires submission of 5-10 Photographs. The image should be in high-quality JPG format, 300 dpi, and not less than 2000 pixel on the longest side. Further, the image should be greater than 5MB. Also, the participants must upload the original RAW file without modification. Moreover, the candidates should submit their photographs before the deadline.

Deadline

The photographers may submit for the Hamdan International Photography Award until  31 October 2019. Any submission arriving after the deadline are ineligible for competition.
