Application call the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition 2020. The International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition is an international science competition that enables students from all countries to prove their skills and to unleash their creativity in the fields of astronomy and astrophysics. IAAC gives a unique opportunity for students to apply their skills to challenging problems. In addition to that, participants can receive certificates, awards, cash prizes, and global recognition.

The IAAC is a great way to sharpen the mind of students and to give them motivation and to challenge them with creative astronomy and astrophysics problems. The competition includes various topics and difficulties. However, teachers and schools may use IAAC competition for after-school classes or workshops. The problems will inspire students to get engaged with science and will also provide a unique opportunity for talented students to challenge their skills.

Eligibilities 

Students from high-school and universities from all over the world can participate in the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition. Moreover, the program has two age categories.

• Junior: under 18 years on 17. April 2020 (submission deadline)
• Youth: over 18 years on 17. April 2020 (submission deadline)

Depending on your age category candidates will have to score more points to qualify for the next round. To solve the problems candidates should have an interest in astronomy and also should be smart as well as creative. They should also have a working internet connection to submit their solution online via the submission form.

Prizes and Awards 

All students who participate in the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition will receive participation certificates. The top three students will receive a cash prize with a cash award of 200 USD, 150 USD, and 100 USD. Furthermore, the most outstanding participants from each global region (Africa, America, Europe, Greater Middle East, South Asia, South East Asia) receive the 1st, 2nd and 3rd regional awards to honor their excellence.
