KIWW World Water Challenge 2025 – Global Water Innovation Contest in South Korea
The World Water Challenge (WWCH), a signature initiative of Korea International Water Week (KIWW), invites innovators worldwide to propose practical solutions for pressing water issues. Hosted by the Ministry of Environment of Korea and organized by the Korea Water Forum, this challenge spotlights real-world implementation across smart, appropriate, and eco-friendly water technologies.
Who Can Participate?
- Open to individuals or organizations passionate about water solutions
- Solutions developed in the last 10 years are eligible
What You Can Win
- Airfare & accommodation for finalists to attend the event in Daegu
- Prize tiers:
- THE BEST: ~10 million KRW (~US $7,050)
- OUTSTANDING: ~3 million KRW (~US $2,100)
- THE BEST winner gains opportunity to present at WWCH 2026
Evaluation Criteria
Submissions are evaluated on:
- Feasibility and real-world applicability
- Innovative intelligence and originality
- Sustainability impact
- Quality of fact-based design and presentation
