Nature Photo Competition Glanzlichter 2022. Apply for the 24th International Nature Photography Competition GLAIN LIGHTS of nature photography 2022. A maximum of 5 images are permitted per category – but no more than 25 images in total. If the picture shows an animal in captivity (zoo, enclosure, game farm) or was taken under controlled conditions, the picture must be marked with a C (= captive). When using digital techniques, please add the appropriate abbreviation to the file name. Photos of pets, sandwich assemblies or digitally manipulated images are excluded from the competition. Furthermore, a completed participation form in German or English must be enclosed with the postal submission.

Categories

There are eight categories for Nature Photo Competition Glanzlichter 2022

• Magnificent Wilderness: landscape photography
• The Beauty of Plants: plant photography
• Nature as Art: shape, color and abstraction of nature
• Artist of Wings: bird photography
• The world of Mammals: images of mammals
• Diversity of all other Animals: animal kingdom except birds and mammals
• Moments in Nature: Images of special moments in nature
• Aerials Views of Nature: natural pictures by multicopter

Eligibility

• Anyone who practices nature photography as a hobby or professionally can participate. The Fritz Pölking Award is chosen from all Category 4 entries.
• Young photographers up to the age of 17 can take part in all categories. The Junior Award will be chosen from all submissions.
• The rights to the image remain with the photographer.

Image selection

• The jury is reassembled every year and judges at its own discretion and taste. Therefore, under no circumstances should you try to send in motifs that are almost identical to those that were already among the winning pictures.
• It is important that the three basic rules for the image statement are correct: sharpness, light, and composition.
• Creative play with these three elements is always welcome.
• Many do not use the maximum number of images to be submitted.
• Five images are allowed per category, but no more than 25 images in total.

Prizes

• The overall winner of Nature Photo Competition Glanzlichter will receive the cash prize of 2,500 Euros.
• All category winners will get 500 Euros.
• The Junior Award winner will receive 500 Euros.
