The Oxford Brookes Poetry Centre is excited to launch its 2019 International Poetry Competition to celebrate the power of poetry across the world. Hence, the Poetry Center opens the competition to both new and established poets aged 18 and over from across the globe. Furthermore, the poets can enter their poems into two categories:

• Open category (open to all poets aged 18 years and over)
• English as an Additional Language (EAL) category (open to all poets aged 18 and over who write in English as an Additional Language)

The winners of Oxford Brookes International Poetry Competition will receive

The jury at Oxford Brookes Poetry Center selects the best, moving poem in each category. The winner of each category will receive a £1000 cash reward. Further, the runners up in each category will receive £200

Who can enter the Oxford Brookes Poetry Competition?

The Oxford Brookes International Poetry Competition is open for all despite their nationalities. Hence, anyone above the age of 18 years may enter the competition. Furthermore, the entrants may enter ten poems at the maximum. But the entries acceptable are only unpublished works.

However, the eligible candidates must submit their poem before the deadline.

How To enter the Oxford Brookes International Poetry Competition?

To enter the competition, entrants must follow two steps. At first, the entrants must make online registration. However, there is not a detailed registration format. The online registration is obligatory to enter the competition. Further, the entrants must also pay the entry charges for the competition.

Next, the entrants may submit their poems via email. Once, submitted, the entrants will receive a confirming email in response.

Also, note that there is no entry form for this competition. The Poetry Centre will match the details you submit via the online registration with your e-mailed poems.

To enter the poem, the entrants must pay a submission charge of

• £5 for one entry
• £4 for more than three entries
