Radical Innovation invites submission for international competition with architects, designers, and students ideas that could bring significant ease in the area of travel and hospitability.  Through an annual competition, Radical Innovation mobilizes disruptors from around the world with the ideas to propel the industry forward. The result is a creative community gathered by the same passion for innovation, introducing the dreamers to those equipped with the necessary resources to bring such concepts to life.  The competition alone has awarded nearly $200,000 to pioneers in hospitality and design, but overall, Radical Innovation serves as an international platform that connects and inspires.

In addition to a clear and compelling brief, applicants must submit their entries accompanied by design renderings and cost analysis, illustrating how the concept could be achieved in the next 3-5 years. A panel of jurors leading the fields of hospitality, design, and investment, will then evaluate the entries based on their originality, creativity, design, and potential impact on the industry.

Awards+ Prize

The winner of the competition will receive a grand prize of $10,000. Further, the runner up will also receive a prize an amount of $5,000.

However, students will have an opportunity for more than the cash award. Besides obtaining a cash award of $1,500, they will also get an opportunity to apply for a scholarship to the University Nevada Las Vegas’s graduate-level hospitality design program.

Moreover, the competition finalists will present their concepts during the Radical Innovation Live event in New York. Radical innovation will fly the finalists to New York to attend the event.

Eligibility

To enter the competition, an applicant must abide by the following rules.

• Enter original, built or unbuilt concepts that offer the market something that is not widely available.
• Concepts must include guestrooms and lobby/public areas.
• Food/ beverage facilities (and other amenities) are optional but recommended.
• A single entrant (or company) may make multiple entries.
• Applicants must be able to provide a notarized disclosure form and certification of project authenticity if selected as a finalist.
• Built entries completed 18 months prior to the competition.

How To Apply

Applicants must submit their applications online. Applicants will require to pay an entry fee for their entry in the competition. For professionals who have built the design completely will require to pay an entry fee of $200. While for the unbuilt project, the entry fee is still $200.
