RSTMH Early Career Grants 2025: Online Application for Up to £5,000 Funding

Applications are now open for the RSTMH Early Career Grants Programme 2025! This opportunity is available to early career researchers and global health professionals from around the world who have not previously received individual funding of £5,000 or more. Successful applicants will receive grants of up to £5,000 to support a project lasting up to one year. Projects can focus on any area within tropical medicine and global health, spanning laboratory research, implementation, translation, or policy.

The programme is offered by the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH), a charity and membership society that has been advancing global health and tropical medicine since 1907. RSTMH is led by a Board of Trustees and supported by six Committees.

The mission of RSTMH is to be at the heart and top of the tropical medicine and global health community and to provide the knowledge and networks in all disciplines that drive impact in society and the world. Their scope of work has constantly changed according to the changes in tropical medicine and global health. In this 2025 RSTMH Early Career Grants program, applicants should start their projects between September and December 2025. RSTMH is hosting a webinar for all interested persons to hear more about the program and application process.

Eligibility Criteria of RSTMH Early Career Grants Programme 2025:

• Applicants must not have received research funding of £5,000 or more in their own name before.
• Applicant should be willing to carry out his research under supervision.
• Anyone from any part of the world can apply for this grant.
• Moreover, applicant should have the ambition to develop knowledge of research methodologies and discipline.
• Applicant should have demonstrated the ability to produce data under supervision.
• The applicant should have demonstrated a good understanding of their field of study.
• Applicants should know how to use critical analysis and evaluation to be able to synthesize new and complex ideas.
• Applicant should explain the outcome of his research and the value thereof to colleagues.
• Both members and non-members of RSTMH can apply.
