Unloc online is a unique learning platform helping students aged 11-19 to explore entrepreneurship, employability, leadership, career pathways and much more from the comfort of their home. Their interactive e-courses combine interactive content, such as videos, self-guided tasks and interactive quizzes with real-time feedback and support for students from Unloc’s Virtual Tutors.

In partnership with One Young World, they are distributing 10 Micro Grants for young people in Northern Ireland to test or develop their own business or community project that advances on one of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, comprise a comprehensive set of seventeen interconnected objectives intended to function as a “shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.” Each SDG is succinctly represented by a short title, ranging from eradicating poverty (SDG 1) and ensuring zero hunger (SDG 2) to promoting good health and well-being (SDG 3) and fostering quality education (SDG 4). The SDGs address a broad spectrum of global challenges, including gender equality (SDG 5), clean water and sanitation (SDG 6), affordable and clean energy (SDG 7), decent work and economic growth (SDG 8), industry, innovation, and infrastructure (SDG 9), reduced inequalities (SDG 10), sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11), responsible consumption and production (SDG 12), climate action (SDG 13), life below water (SDG 14), life on land (SDG 15), peace, justice, and strong institutions (SDG 16), and partnerships for the goals (SDG 17). These goals collectively strive to address pressing global issues and promote a more sustainable and equitable future for all.
