Skål International is the only professional organization promoting global Tourism and friendship, uniting all sectors of the Tourism industry. Its more than 13457 members, entailing of industry’s Managers and Executives, meet at Local, National, Regional and International levels to do business among friends throughout more than 343 Skål Clubs along 101 countries.

Skål International is an Affiliate Member of the UNWTO whose mission is to promote the development of responsible, sustainable and universally, accessible Tourism. We have adopted the UNWTO Global Code of Ethics in Tourism and support the ST-EP initiative (Sustainable Tourism-Eliminating Poverty). Skål International is also affiliated to other important international organizations including PATA, IIPT, The Code, ECPAT, ICTP or STI.

Eligibilities

Skål International Sustainable Tourism Awards are open annually to all public and private sector companies, educational institutions, NGOs, and government agencies. All sustainable operations and activities must be implemented by the company, NGO or agency applying for the award. Projects that are yet not in operation are not eligible.
