The Village Story is a new campaign inviting travel story curators from around the world to explore some of Thailand’s most amazing villages for free – with cash and other prizes worth 10,000 USD!  So, if you’re an adventure-seeker between 18-35 with sharp social media, photography, blogging and vlogging skills, this travel program and competition is for you. Moreover, the Village Story Competition in Thailand is fully funded as all participants will have their full travel expenses covered. This includes airfares, accommodation, meals, and other travel expenses.

The Village Story has selected 22 incredible villages across Thailand that pride themselves on their rich culture, fascinating history, and unique traditions. From the pool of applications, the project’s committee will select a total of 44 participants (22 foreign nationals and 22 Thai nationals) to visit one of these villages.

If you’re selected to take part in The Village Story, all you have to do is create awesome digital content documenting your trip to rural Thailand – and then share your story with the rest of the world.

The winners of the Fully Funded Thailand Village Story Competition receive:

The jury will select two main winners from the competition- one foreign national, one Thai. The winners are selected on the basis of the most inspiring content (scoring 50% above from the judge of the committee, 50% of the highest number of social media engagements – Total number of followers, shares, comments, tags, tweets & retweets)

Moreover, the jury will choose five winners in each foreign and Thai category(10 winners in total). Both of the 5 foreign and 5 Thai winners will equally receive the following prizes.

• First Prize: 100,000 baht
• Second Prize: 70,000 baht
• Third Prize: 50,000 baht
• Fourth Prize: 30,000 baht
• Fifth Prize10,000 baht

Further, all the participants will receive a certificate from Thailand’s Department of Cultural Promotion, Ministry of Culture. Also, all the participants will receive 5-10% of the value of every tour voucher sold during the trip.

Who is eligible for the Village Story Competition in Thailand?

• Competition is open to all young people between 18-35 years at the time of submitting his or her application. Further, the laws of Thailand or the participant’s country of citizenship must not prohibit or restrict from entry.
• Proficiency in the English Language, both spoken and written.
• Good communications and networking skills.
• Strong experience and skills in blogging, vlogging as well as storytelling
• Photography and video creation skills
• Also, be willing to contribute your skills and time for the community

How To apply for the Village Story Competition in Thailand?

To apply for the Thailand Village Story, participants must register for the competition online. Moreover, the applicants should choose to travel among 22 villages in Thailand. Applicants must submit their submission form prior to the deadline.
