Applications call for the Spark Teen Accelerator Challenge 2020

The Spark Teen Accelerator Challenge is not just an entrepreneurship competition – it’s the application process for the Spark Teen Accelerator, where companies are forged in flame. This program is not about rewarding smart business ideas with prize money, we’re about making those ideas actually happen through return-free investment. The program is looking for companies that are ready to put in the hard work to launch and grow their company.

Rounds 

• Round 1: Pitch – Submit a five-minute pitch to our online portal. The top teams from our live pitchfest events held earlier this year will also advance to the next stage.
• Round 2: Business Proposal – Teams that have qualified for Round 2 submit a three-page business proposal and a one-page budget plan. While the pitch was more focused on storytelling, the business proposal gets into the nitty-gritty
• Finalists: Fireside Chat-Finalist teams have a casual twenty-minute virtual conversation with an experienced entrepreneur, who will choose the top teams to receive the award.

The Accelerator

Aside from winning thousands of dollars in return-free investment, the first and second place teams will be given the choice to join the Spark Teen Accelerator, a startup accelerator where they will receive one-on-one mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs and receive additional support from Spark Teen.

Prizes 

• 1st Place: $6,000 + In Return-Free Investment + Access to the Accelerator
• 2nd Place: $2,500 + In Return-Free Investment + Access to the Accelerator
• 3rd Place: $1,500 + In Return-Free Investment
• Sustainability Prize: $5,000 + In Return-Free Investment + Access to the Accelerator

Role 

The $15,000 return-free investment pool is just the beginning. Once they in the Accelerator, they will receive mentorship by the world’s greatest leaders and innovators. Candidates pitch in rooms you could not have dreamed of being in. In addition to that, they work harder than you ever have, but you’ll also learn more than you ever have. This is not a business idea competition; this is the entry point to making the idea a reality.
