UNFPA Young Creators Lab 2026 | Fully Online Regional Program for Young Digital Creators in Asia-Pacific
Applications are now open for the UNFPA Young Creators Lab 2026, a fully online regional capacity-building program designed to empower young digital creators and youth-led organizations across Asia and the Pacific. Organized by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Asia and the Pacific Regional Office, the program equips participants with the skills to create reliable, rights-based, and engaging digital content on health, gender equality, and youth empowerment.
As young people increasingly rely on social media for information about health, relationships, and rights, the Young Creators Lab aims to combat misinformation by training a new generation of ethical and informed content creators. Participants will receive expert-led instruction, mentorship, and the opportunity to collaborate with peers from across the region.

The program covers eight key learning pillars:
- Digital Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) content production
- Gender equality and positive masculinity messaging
- AI fluency for digital creators
- Identifying and countering misinformation
- Preventing technology-facilitated gender-based violence
- Universal design and digital accessibility
- Audience growth and social media algorithms
- Online advocacy, storytelling, and content amplification.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be 18–29 years old.
- Live in a country within the Asia-Pacific region covered by UNFPA.
- Be actively creating digital content or represent a youth-led organization producing content for young audiences.
- Demonstrate an interest in:
- Comprehensive sexuality education (CSE)
- Sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR)
- Gender equality
- Healthy relationships
- Youth empowerment
- Have a commitment to producing ethical, accurate, and inclusive digital content.
Follower count is not considered during selection. Both micro and emerging creators are encouraged to apply.
Time Commitment
Participants should expect to dedicate approximately:
- Nine live online sessions
- Weekly learning activities (“sprints”)
- Interactive quizzes after each session
- Around 4–6 hours per week
- Additional time for the optional capstone project.
Completion Certificate
Participants will earn the UNFPA Young Creators Lab Completion Certificate if they:
- Attend at least 6 of the 9 live sessions
- Pass all required quizzes (minimum 70% score)
- Complete required learning activities
- Follow the program’s community guidelines.
The optional capstone project is not required to receive the certificate.
