Applications are open for Zolota Photographer of the Year 2021. Zolota is an international quarterly print magazine based in Canada that focuses on high end avant-garde editorials with elements of rock culture.

The awards accept fashion, beauty and wedding styled shoots as well as digital art, written submissions and videos. It also accepts submissions from photographers and their creative teams, artists, musicians, bloggers, writers, filmmakers, and fashion designers/brands.

You have to be the copyright holder of the images being submitted, or you have permission from the copyright holder to submit the images. If the model is under 18 you must have permission from their parents. For written submissions you must be a writer of submitted material.

Make sure when you upload the credits that they are correct, that Instagrams are added to all team members. If you need any corrections there will be a $20 fee charged to make them.

Image Requirements 

Zolota Photographer of the Year is currently accepting submissions for our Fall issue. Photos must be original (unpublished).

If you are submitting for the blog, photos can be previously published on social media, as long as it is fashionable, creative and fits the style. However, unpublished work will be prioritized.

• 2 + looks, variety of angles … close-ups, mid, wide shots
• Include an artist statement (a few sentences about your project).
• Credits: names and social media links
• No watermarks or logos
• 3-30 images
• JPG or TIF format
• sRGB color profile
• Allowed sizes (flexible rules):
• Portrait: 8.5 × 11 in, 300 dpi (2550 × 3300 px)
• Landscape: 17 × 11 in, 300 dpi (5100 × 3300 px)

Writing Requirements

• Looking for contributors and creative writers that would like to submit their fashion articles, personal stories, or interviews with fashion influencers for the blog.
• Contributors will receive credit on our blog and all social media channels.
• File type: doc or pdf.
• Minimum 200 words.
• Photos that go with an article must be high rez
• Include story name and credits
