2017 Winter Youth Assembly

Program Date: 1-3 Feb, 2017

Venue: United Nation Headquarters, New York, USA

The Youth Assembly is recognized as the largest youth conference at the United Nations. Over the course of 18 sessions13,000 youth from 6 continents and more than 100 countries have developed a better understanding of the various practices and perspectives in international development.

Through our extensive alumni network, partnership with like-minded organizations, and development of youth resolutions, the Youth Assembly’s powerful impact ripples far beyond the conference. Delegates leave the assembly with the knowledge and resources they need to make a genuine and ongoing change.

Former Youth Assembly delegates have gone on to become well-known and highly influential actors in the international arena, including the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth Ahmad Alhendawi.

The Delegates

Despite coming from a multitude of cultural backgrounds, the extraordinary delegates who make up the Youth Assembly all have one thing in common— their world-changing potential. Make no mistake though; these delegates aren’t just getting ready to make a difference, they’re already doing it.

Over the course of the Youth Assembly, youth delegates have traveled from more than 100 of the United Nations member states to attend. Each assembly hosts delegates from at least 70 countries.
