The DMUN Model EU 2025 is a high-level, realistic simulation of the European Union’s legislative and policy-making process. Hosted by the DMUN Foundation, this free online conference invites students and young leaders from around the world to dive deep into European governance, diplomacy, and international law.

Simulated EU Institutions

At DMUN Model EU 2025, delegates will take on roles within four core institutions of the European Union:

• European Council
  • Represent EU Heads of State or Government
  • Set overall political direction and resolve major issues
• Council of the European Union (Council of Ministers)
  • Represent national ministers by sector
  • Negotiate and adopt EU laws with the European Parliament
• European Commission
  • Represent Commissioners proposing and implementing legislation
  • Focus on budget, enforcement, and executive leadership
• European Parliament
• Role-play as elected MEPs across political groups
• Debate, amend, and vote on proposed laws

These simulations incorporate real-time legislative negotiations, including trilogues and the co-decision process, giving participants hands-on experience with EU lawmaking.
