Global Research Alliance for Sustainable Finance and Investment Conference 2019 is available for application. This 2nd Annual Conference is a convening of academic researchers working on sustainable finance and investment. The Oxford Sustainable Finance Programme is hosting this conference at the University of Oxford Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment.

About the Alliance

The Global Research Alliance for Sustainable Finance and Investment (the ‘Alliance’) was founded in 2017 to promote multi-disciplinary academic research on sustainable finance and investment. The Alliance currently consists of 22 global research universities (with more joining), each with expertise in this emerging field. The Alliance is also developing academic collaboration between researchers working on sustainable finance and nurturing the growth and development of graduate students and junior academics working on sustainable finance and investment topics.

Prizes

There will be at least 5 paper prizes awarded at the discretion of the Conference Committee:

• BNP Paribas Asset Management Best Paper Prize – £3,000
• CFA Institute Financial Analysts Journal Paper Prize for Sustainable Investment – £1,500
• CFA Institute Financial Analysts Journal PhD Prize for Sustainable Investment – £1,000
• Best Climate Finance Paper Prize (sponsored by Imperial College London) – £1,500
• Best Novel Methods Paper (sponsor TBC) – £1,500

Paper Submissions

The Conference Committee is seeking 40 high quality papers for the conference. Draft session themes are:

Submissions must be in PDF. Please anonymise your submission (double-blind reviewing policy) and submit your paper via EasyChair. Authors of accepted submissions need to attend and give a presentation at the Conference.

Above all, there are bursaries to support participation and these will prioritise early career researchers and PhD students based in developing countries.
