National Press Foundation International Trade Training 2024 for Journalists Based in Asia {Funded}

International Trade Training 2024 for Journalists Based in Asia will encompass a comprehensive range of topics, including China’s regional and global influence, sustainable investment, the impact of the U.S. presidential election on trade, economic data analysis, environmental and social considerations, supply chain challenges, and emerging trends in the field of sustainable global trade.

NPF offers this professional development opportunity for journalists to enhance skills, increase knowledge and recharge their reporting on one of today’s most critical beats. The foundation will cover airfare, hotel costs and most meals.

Eligibility for International Trade Training 2024

• This program is for Asia-based journalists only. Journalists may be domestic or international, working in print, television, radio or digital media. They greatly value diversity in all their programs.
• All nationalities are welcome to apply but journalists must be based in Asia. Priority is given to journalists with a coverage plan and demonstrated experience covering these issues.
• Applicants must agree to comply with Singapore’s visa and COVID-19  policies.

Application of International Trade Training 2024

Here’s what you’ll need (all submissions must be in English):

• Two samples of your work (from within the last year)
• A letter of support from an editor or supervisor (if you’re a freelancer, a letter from someone who has edited or published your work)
