South American Business Forum

The South American Business Forum, better known as SABF, is an annual international conference held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with the aim of bringing together current and future leaders to achieve sustainable development in the world.
The fourteenth edition of the SABF will gather 100 college students from around the world from all careers and 40 current leaders from the business, academic, political and social spheres, from Argentina and other countries.

Every year we receive people from India, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, Italy, USA, Canada, Singapore, Thailand, Nigeria, Russia, etc.

This edition will take place the 3rd, 4th and 5th of August 2018 in Buenos Aires.The registration period started on February 17th and lasts until April 30th, 2018. In order to apply to the event students must write an opinion piece based on the central theme of this year: “The Power Paradox” or about one of the other three sub-themes,”Systems facing obsolescence”,”In sync with technology” or “Leading through uncertainty”.

What expenses are covered for?

All the selected participants will have the following expenses covered for meals during the days 3rd, 4th and 5th August, 2018 and night event:

In case of students coming from abroad or from other provinces of Argentina, SABF will cover accommodation in a hotel to be confirmed during the nights of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of August, 2018 and transportation from the hotel to the different places where the Forum activities take place.

Important: The transportation expenses to and from Buenos Aires are not covered for.

How do I participate?

To participate in the Forum, students must enter to the [Register]( https://apply.sabf.org.ar/ ) section, complete the online form and load their opinion piece. The information may be submitted and modified until April 30th, 2018, date on which the application period ends.

How and when are the selected students defined?

Once the application period ends, a jury of academics, businessmen, entrepreneurs and journalists will be in charge of selecting the participants, based on their essays. Students will be selected according to their leadership qualities and the potential innovative contribution they can provide during the Forum. The selected students will be notified of the jury´s decision via e-mail during the last weeks of May, 2018.

Why should I apply?

The Sabf seeks to generate among all the participants a very valuable exchange of experiences, ideas and opinions. The SABF is not a forum, but an experience. It is rich not only because of the talks that are given, but also because of the cultural exchange that is generated and the good relationships that begins. Being a small group of students they get to know them very well. Not every day you can have a coffee with a guy from India, one from France and the president of a company at the same time, and this is one of the reasons why you should apply.The SABF is an unique opportunity and we want you to be part of it.
