The Global Entrepreneurship Pre-Bootcamp in association with Asia School of Business aims to capacitate one individual from zero knowledge in entrepreneurship to be an insightful entrepreneur. The program will enhance the understanding of the participant through a community-based observation and extensive design thinking in a multi-dimensional technical and human-centered design learning approach. It will cover basics of design, identification of unmet human needs through community involvement, development of solutions that are feasible and viable, and fundamentals of entrepreneurship thinking.

The Pre-Bootcamp will help the participant to broaden their understanding of what entrepreneurship means. The powerful approach of design thinking will capacitate zero knowledge in entrepreneurship to become an entrepreneur; it will be used to effectively instill the participant’s active entrepreneurship learning experience. It will further continue their journey in the Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, which the delegates will be able to easily understand the Bootcamp objectives and learning outcomes because of their hands-on and advance participation in developing business and products.

The Pre Bootcamp will be conducted by Prof. Rajesh Nair, Director, ASB Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre, MIT. Prof. Rajesh Nair is an inventor, product designer, and entrepreneur with more than 25 years’ experience in multiple startups in Boston area. He is Professor of Practice in Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Asia School of Business, a new school started by MIT-Sloan in Kuala Lumpur where he heads the ASB-Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center. He has conducted transformational workshops on Making, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in India, USA, Malaysia, East Timor, and Vietnam. His work has catalyzed more than 50 student startups.

Prof. Nair is a teacher and practitioner of Design Thinking process. He is also the founder of a nonprofit organization, TechTop Trust that promotes innovators & entrepreneurs among youth since 2006 and holds 13 US patent
