Kyoto Startup Summer School is a program for those who are planning startups. It is a two-week intensive program for aspiring entrepreneurs want to learn about creating a successful startup. Moreover, KS3’s mission is to educate and excite students about startups, providing the skills and motivating them to take their first steps in creating their own. Since it’s inception in 2016, over 200 people from 36 countries have been involved in Kyoto Startup Summer School, the most international program of its kind in Japan. It is composed of different modules taught and facilitated by diverse teaching team members. The program is planning to include many different exciting modules which incorporate

• Workshops for learn the different startup skills and gaining the necessary entrepreneurial mindsets
• Lectures for covering various relevant must-know startup topics
• Furthermore, startup Weekend for starting your entrepreneurial journey with local members from super intense 54 hours
• Moreover, mixers for interactive sessions with trailblazing entrepreneurs
• In addition, panel Discussions for conversations with some of the most interesting people in the industry
• Company Visits for knowing about the high tech companies and startups in the Kyoto region

Eligibility Requirements

• Current University Students (Graduate and Undergraduate)
• Recent University Graduates (Graduated in 2016 or later)
• Working for a Startup (Company younger than 3 years and less than 25 people)
• Freelancers with the intent of creating a startup

Cost of Attending

50,000 yen (approximately 460 USD or 400 Euros) + Startup Weekend fee

Location of the School

Kyoto Startup Summer School is based in Kyoto, the city of tradition and innovation in Japan. The KYOTO Design Lab at the Kyoto Institute of Technology is hosting the program.
