{ Fully Funded } International Volunteering Program in Germany

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The Municipality of Kassel (Germany) is looking for 1 volunteer to carry out service in 2 locations: 1. circus activities with children and young people with and without disabilities: ZirkuTopia is an inclusive offer of education and free time. Through juggling, circus arts and acrobatics, children and young people from different backgrounds learn together. 2. support in the youth office and international projects. The youth office, for young people aged 13 to 27, organizes events such as seminars, digital projects and international projects for young people. Some of the places and activities are: center for non-formal education and youth groups; workshops on violence prevention; seminars in schools on bullying, interculturality and cooperation; radio laboratory; European projects and information for young people.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

The volunteer will share the apartment and receive € 240 per month for food. In addition, the host organization will arrange a pass for public transport.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

Before departure, the support organization will provide pre-departure preparation online. The program includes an online language course, on-arrival training and an intermediate assessment. The host organization will provide a language course in the first 4 weeks and training sessions with other volunteers.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

The Municipality of Kassel is looking for 1 Italian volunteer or legally resident in Italy, between 18 and 30 years old. No particular characteristics are required besides: – propensity to work with children and young people, – minimum knowledge of English or German.
