ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

This project invites you to explore solidarity through volunteer-driven cooperation among local host organisation and the relation of humans to their physical environment and its importance in today’s world. Join this project and you will be able to promote solidarity and active citizenship by volunteering in a specific hosting organization, participating in and organizing solidarity events, etc. Your tasks as a volunteer : -General education of 6-19 year old students -Special focus on natural sciences and English language -Integration of the Lithuanian ethnic culture into the educational process -Creation of a safe education environment -To assist with the afterschool activities (educational programs, assistance with homework) -To organize language classes -To accompany teachers and students to various trips -Work in the student’s summer camp -Gymnasium environment management

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

A private room in a shared flat with other international volunteers; public transport card; monthly food and pocket money.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

On-arrival training; monthly meetings with your mentor; lithuanian language class online

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

-You should be interested to work with 6-10 years old children and youngsters -You should be communicative -You should be creative -You should be responsible – It is a plus, if you are independent in organizing activities and lessons
