ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The volunteer will take part of a collective hosting of three volunteers (the other 2 are hosted at Reims and Ay). Each volunteer will work in a different organization in cities near Reims. All the volunteers will share an apartment in Reims. The missions of the volunteer will be: – Entertainment for children – Language courses for children and adults within the organisation and with partners – Manual activities with children – Activity on sustainable development: workshops for residents, organization of projects transversal, activities with children – Participation in extra school activities taking part in a common project with the other volunteer of the project

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

The volunteer will share an apartment at Reims nearby the office of the FRMJC, with 3 bedroom (1 for each volunteer) and common places (kitchen, dining room, bathroom) with 2 others European volunteers. Each volunteer will receive a pass for the local transport and a train pass to their hosting organizations. A youth card will also be given for train travel. The volunteer will work 35 hours per week including travels by train, eventually he/she might work on evening or Saturday for events. Each volunteer will receive pocket money and 50€ per week for food

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

French lessons will be provided if necessary. Formations about citizenship, abilities recognition or other topics will be providing with one or several partners organizations. Seminar with other volunteers from MJC networks will be organized on different topics according relevance (citizenship, educational .

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

Fair level of French (A2 minimum) and in at least 1 other language. Attentive, ability for teamwork, autonomy, ability for flexible work, creativity. He/She will work with children in day care and with teenagers occasionally: manual activities, parlor games, musical activities, working with different partners in linguistic or cultural activities (grade school, high-school, youth associations).
